Commitee Membership Requirements
Passionate and knowledgeable about young adult literature.
Ability to attend four meetings a year (January, March, May and September).
Willing to travel to meetings in different parts of the state and attend virtually as decided by committee.
Prepared to read and review many young adult fiction and nonfiction books per year.
Has the technology skills required to complete committee work (ex: Google Drive, email, etc...).
Responds to email and other forms of correspondence in a timely manner.
Must be a public librarian, school librarian, and/or school teacher.Â
No published children's book author, editor, publisher, or publicist may be a member of the committee.
Applications and Timeline
When applications are being accepted, applications for new committee members open in the late winter. Accepted applicants are notified via email by April. We accept applications and the type of applicant (public librarian, school librarian, and/or school teacher) based on committee need each year. When applications are being accepted, applicants can submit their application via the Google Form posted below.
